Summer Camp Recruitment Guidelines

The Thai student Japan visit project in May was canceled for three consecutive years in 2020, 2021 and 2022 due to the Corona Pandemic. We are sorry that Thai students who want to visit Japan are deprived of the opportunity to visit Japan. It seems that the Coronavirus situation to be improving, so we would like to plan a summer camp project in August in this year and invite Thai students to Japan to hold a Thai-Japan student exchange project.

From August 1st to 4th, we would like to enjoy a summer camp in Kobuchizawa, Yamanashi Prefecture, with 15 Thai students and 30 Japanese students, for a total of 45 people. The place of the summer camp is in the forest called Goddess of the Forest at the foot of Mt. Yatsugatake. We will rent a training facility for a cosmetics manufacturer. It’s packed with interesting programs such as forest walks, trekking, fireworks, starry sky observations, campfires, barbecues, and talent shows. We would like to enjoy the program with Thai and Japanese students. We will explain the contents of the program under consideration, participation fee, application method, etc. as follows. We look forward to your participation.

The Japanese government, however, has not yet allowed tourists from Thailand to visit Japan. Currently, only travelers for business purposes can visit Japan. We hope that restrictions on entry from overseas to Japan will be relaxed in the near future, but we would like to make a decision as to whether or not a summer camp can be held by June 25, while carefully watching the infection situation.
